Oh, Culebra. If you haven't been here, please, add it as your "next destination" on your vacation list. I've been there twice and I'd love to go again. My overall experiences have been great, so I'm just gonna give you my recommendations from what I've experienced... 1. If you're thinking of seeing all of Culebra, I recommend you stay for at least 2-3 days. 2. Ferry or Airplane? I've been there in both, and honestly it's up to you. The fastest way is obviously the plane... And correct me if I'm wrong but I think you get there in like 15 minutes. Or you can go by Ferry and the ride is like 1 and a half hours. The bad news is that you can get motion sickness easily, though it's a lot less if you ride at the very top of the ship. 3. My favorite beaches are Flamenco (where the famous tank is) and Sony Beach (which is less crowded, but also very beautiful). Another "must" is a little island near Culebra called "Culebrita". The boat ride is a little overpriced, but the beaches there are crystal clear, the waves are very calm, and it's never crowded, so it's very relaxing.
4. Food. If you got there by morning, and you're looking for a Bakery, Pandeli Bakery is the place to go; plus, it's near the Ferry Terminal. But, if you're looking for lunch/dinner I recommend two places: Dinghy Dock and Mamasitas. They're both great. Another great option is to take snacks with you for the day. Because food options are a bit limited. Seriously, you have to visit this place. Whether it's for a day or 3 or 5. You'll be amazed of the beauty it has to offer. . . . . . . . . . . . . . Culebra. - Gabriela
